com.ouxdesing.taqwa)The short version. Taqwa shows no ads and contains no advertising or tracking SDKs. Your prayer records live on your device. Your location is used on your device to calculate prayer times and the qibla, and is never sent to us. You can use the entire app without an account; if you choose to sign in, your records sync to your own private area in our database and you can delete them at any time from inside the app.
Taqwa is developed and operated by OUX Studio (“we”, “us”). For any question about this policy or about your data, write to osman12mstsc@gmail.com. We answer data requests within 30 days.
Signing in is optional and the app is fully functional without it. If you sign in with Google we process:
Legal basis (GDPR/KVKK): performance of the service you asked for (Art. 6(1)(b)) for sync and account features; our legitimate interest in a stable app (Art. 6(1)(f)) for crash diagnostics; your consent for optional device permissions, which you can withdraw at any time in the system settings.
The app talks to the following services. When it does, your IP address is necessarily visible to that service, as with any internet request.
| Service | When it is used | What it receives |
|---|---|---|
| Firebase Authentication & Cloud Firestore (Google) | Only if you sign in | Account identifiers and your synced worship records |
| Firebase Crashlytics (Google) | Only when the app crashes | Crash diagnostics and device information |
| Google Sign-In | Only if you tap “Sign in with Google” | The sign-in request; Google returns your basic profile |
| ip-api.com | Only when the location permission is denied or unavailable | Your IP address, to return an approximate city |
Quran.com API and audio CDN
(api.quran.com, api.qurancdn.com,
audio.qurancdn.com) |
When you read or listen to the Quran online, and when downloading recitations | The page or audio file requested |
| HadeethEnc | When the daily hadith is fetched | The request for the hadith text |
| Google Fonts | The first time a typeface is needed | The font file request |
| Google Play Billing and RevenueCat | Only if you buy the premium upgrade or support the developer | Purchase receipt and an anonymous purchase identifier. We never see or store your card details — payment is handled entirely by Google Play |

From inside the app (recommended):
Profile → Delete My Account. This permanently deletes your cloud account and every record stored under it. Records kept locally on your device are not touched; uninstalling the app removes those.
By email: write to osman12mstsc@gmail.com from the address you signed in with, with the subject “Delete my account”. We complete the deletion within 30 days and confirm by email.
Depending on where you live (GDPR in the EEA/UK, KVKK in Türkiye, and similar laws elsewhere) you have the right to access your data, to correct it, to have it deleted, to restrict or object to processing, and to receive a copy in a portable format. The app already gives you most of these directly: your records are visible in the app, the backup feature exports them to a file, and account deletion is one tap away. For anything else, contact us at the address above. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
Taqwa is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
All network traffic uses HTTPS (the single exception is the optional IP-based city lookup, which only ever sends your IP address). Cloud data is stored in Google Cloud’s infrastructure and protected by security rules that limit each document to its owner. Because Google operates globally, data may be processed outside your country; Google relies on Standard Contractual Clauses for such transfers.
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page, and for material changes we will also mention it in the app’s release notes.
